d 1999 and lost in the final match in extra time to England in 2003. Rugby union in Australia has always taken a back seat to its big cousin rugby league.  This could have been broken when rugby league went through turmoil in the 90s when the opposite code started Super League.  After this, Rugby League was fragmented and its supporter base was left reeling.  Why did the ARU not capitalize on this and invest in heavy campaigning to convert these valuable fans  To think it can't be done was naive to say the least.  One only need to look at the rise and rise of Australian Rules Football (AFL) in what was once a Rugby League strong hold state, Queensland. So what is needed at the ARU to get the results it surly deserves1. Don't bring in a coach that has not produced results.  The Queensland Reds finished a dismal 12th in the Super 14 competition in 2006 under the watch of Connolly.  How could he do any better with the W>>

interest rate and best terms. My assumptions were wrong.I was approved...but, to my surprise, not at the best interest rate they offered. They approved me in their third tier. Which means I was not offered the best...or the next best...but the third best interest rate. (Yuck!)This was painful for me. I'm always in the top tier. What givesAs it turns out, my scores were lower than I thought. The balances on my credit cards that month were higher than normal (I should have checked my scores a few days or a few weeks before I filled out the application...not three months before). In addition, the lender recently changed their tier schedule. To get their best interest rate I now needed a 740+ score. (Yikes!) My scores were around 680 at the time.Guess I shouldn't have assumed.I did catch one lucky break, though. Fortunately, I had financed two cars with the same lender in the past, and each had a perfect payment history. >>

Staff was told the first Monday off would be July 6 and run through Sept. 14, which is 10 weeks, but includes Labor Day, when the Post doesn't publish. CanWest said Mondays in summer have the lowest readership and that the move would generate savings on paper, ink and distribution.

Further, as we noted a month ago Harper admires President Bush personally and has made clear that in may respects he wants to emulate the U.S. leader's political style. He has closely studied how effectively Bush pursued the strategy after he was first elected on only a plurality vote in November 2000 of governing boldly and confidently, sitting high in the saddle and acting as if he had broad popular majority support for his policies. That paid off when the president was reelected to a second term four years later with >>
